There will be no official homework for the week of the 29th. I will, however, be sending home new sight words. Please review these with your children as well as the math fact cards. As always, if your child has an easy time reading the words, try having them spell the words. If the math fact cards seem "too easy", try making them into a mad minute game where you give your child one minute to solve as many facts as they can. Record their number to help track their progress!

Tomorrow math fact cards will be sent home in the Wednesday Folder. At the end of first grade, students are to be fluent in both addition and subtraction facts 0-10. These flash cards will be a wonderful way to develop number fluency. Fluency is important not only in reading, but in math as well. It helps to create a strong foundation for years to come.
**Weekly homework packets will be available online next week. |
