In case the weather is as bad as it is seeming to be and we don’t have school on Thursday, the snow date for our Valentine’s Day celebration will be on Wednesday, Feb. 19th. Again, this is ONLY if there is no school on Thursday. Thank you!

Well here we are again... another snow day! Maybe you are enjoying a nice quiet day with a sleepy, nacho filled first grader, maybe your little one is already outside burning off those nachos or maybe you are stuck inside with a bored and noisy child. If the noisy part sounds familiar and you are looking for something to do I have found a few ideas to help. Now due to excitement the noise level might not go down, but at least you will get a few pretty adorable pictures or memories out of these activities. *Warning!* some are messy! :) The safe route.. Frozen coloring sheets: http://www.midgetmomma.com/2014/01/10/free-disneys-frozen-activity-coloring-sheets/ This is "snow paint".. A little messy but it would get them outside: http://www.growingajeweledrose.com/2013/12/magic-snow-paint.html Again, a little messy, but a recipe for "snow slime": http://www.growingajeweledrose.com/2012/12/slime28.html These are so cool… frozen bubbles: http://www.housingaforest.com/frozen-bubbles/ If you choose to do any of these activities and take pictures, feel free to email them to me and I will post them! :) Enjoy the day. |
