After we learned all about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. we took a harder look at his message, "Not by the color of our skin, but the content of our character". We used apples to show us that even if our skin color is different, we all still have a star inside of us. Your little ones learned words like prejudice, segregation and equality.

I thought it was really mean to put up white only signs,because my cousins are black skin too!
