This past Friday, to help wrap up our camping "in" week, we were given the unbelievable opportunity to Skype with a ranger from Yellowstone National Park. Ranger Christeal was not only kind, a fabulous Skyper, but incredibly knowledgeable about park safety, wildlife, and history. To show some appreciation for Ranger Christeal (and Mrs. Gohagon who set this all up!) the little ones wanted to blog about what they learned from the experience.

I learned that bison were in the state of Wyoming. I liked how we told them where we lived. For an example Durham CT at Brewster elementry school. it was allso pretty cool that they were half way across the country in Wyoming.

These are the things I learned: Wolves play together. If a fox gets to close to a pack of wolves the wolves will kill it. Way back when people used to live or camp in tent's that kind of look like circus tent's.I learned that elk and moose live at Yellowstone. I learned that there are geysers and grizzly bears are at Yellowstone. The one thing that I liked the most about the Skype is that she talked about antlers and boy! are they big!

I had a great time during our Skype session! I learned an interesting fact after we spoke. I thought wolves didn't bark, but it turns out that they sometimes do bark - very rarely!
