What's Genius Hour? Genius hour is a passion based learning process where students come to realize how their ideas matter and will someday change the world. By boosting confidence, communication and research skills, children will research a topic they are interested in. By the end of the 4-6 week cycle, students will create something to share with the world based on their new learning. Projects can range from models, to commercials, to ebooks. The students have the power because after all, they are each little geniuses and the world has been waiting for them! :-)
Each first grader in Room 12 now has their own blog! Each week they will post about what they have accomplished during Genius Hour. Feel free to comment and share in our learning by reading our posts each week! After our projects are finalized we will be posting them on our personal sites.
